This was a song I wrote after digging into the two Beatles albums, Rubber Soul and Revolver. Plus, there are so many classic songs with a girl's name as the title, and I always liked the name Veronica.
lyrics
Veronica - West Bolz 8/27/2011
A C#m
Why do we have these explosions?
F#m D
I didn't even know there was a flame
A C#m
Everytime we meet there's a commotion
Bm E
Girl don't you know you're driving me insane
We met in dubious circumstances
Firewater, waltzes and slow dances
You had left your caution at the door
In your zoo the lions began to roar
G A C#m
Lay your burden down Veronica
G A E
The key is right there in your hand
G A C#m
I know you're hurting now Veronica
Bm Dm
One day you'll understand
Some things are best left undiscovered
Some things wash away in the rain
You may find your solace in another
Here I feel you're singing in the pain
Expectation isn't but a shadow
Running from the dawn's amber light
Forgotten fields of plenty they lie fallow
Waiting for the seeds to make them right
Chorus
Bridge F#m D Dm
I can't fix all the broken pieces
Of your puzzled landscape of desire
When you find the answer it releases
All the power coming down from higher
