Essence of You is a love song pure and simple, one to put in your romantic night mix. It has a bit of allusion to one of my old favorites, I Can't Give You Anything But Love, where it says 'all I can give you is respect and love, these are the things I have plenty of.' It has a reggae feel, with a dash of soul, then gets a little chunky at the end. Someone told me that the bridge sounds like Steely Dan, with the Kurzweil feedback tone.
